A group of senior politicians sets out on a trip. Their bus is hijacked on the road. At the head of the hijackers is Charles. The group has a demand. It wants their old comrades released from prison. In return the politicians will be let go unharmed. The people on the bus become a bargaining matter. A former policeman is brought in at last. The man who takes the job is no longer on the force. His work is to free the politicians. The men facing him are armed and determined. The account is built on that rescue attempt. The film is put together as a thriller. Mohanlal and Lalu Alex take the leads, with Sukumaran, Suresh Gopi and Revathi also in the cast, in K. Madhu’s Malayalam film of 1988.
