What More About the Children of Noisy Village Is About
Summer is over and the children of Bullerby are back at school. Lisa does the telling: the first day of term, the autumn work in the fields, her brothers Lasse and Bosse, and the neighbours Britta, Anna, Olle and Kerstin. When winter comes they walk home through a snowstorm and take shelter with a bad tempered shoemaker; at Christmas every family goes to Aunt Jenny, and the day after they skate on the lake. Lasse Hallstrom directed in 1987 from a screenplay Astrid Lindgren wrote herself. Nothing large happens, and that is the point of it.
