What Mutant Aliens Is About
An astronaut is sent into space and forgotten there; when he comes back to Earth years later he has five strange creatures with him. The man who forgot him is the head of the space industry. His daughter has grown up in the meantime and has never stopped looking for her father. The three of them come to settle accounts, and nobody can guess what this crew will do. This is an adult animation drawn by hand by Bill Plympton. Plympton draws every frame himself, which gives his films one of the most recognisable looks in independent cinema. The humour is crude, exaggerated and constantly playing with bodies. Underneath it there is a plain target: an arrangement in which the state and the corporation work together, and the people spent along the way.
