What My Future Love Is About
Sweden, 1973. Svante is twenty and has a heart condition the doctors cannot repair. One day he collapses on a subway platform and a train that is not on any timetable pulls in. He boards it without knowing where the carriage is going. When he gets off he is more than forty years ahead. There he meets Elsa. Between them they have to work out whether present-day medicine can do anything for his heart, and how two people from two different eras are supposed to be together at all. Jaana Fomin directs the Swedish film; ninety-nine minutes, with Elias Palin as Svante and Victoria Dyrstad as Elsa, and Henrik Dorsin and Johan Ulveson in the cast. It is a time-travel story running inside the shape of a film for young audiences.
