Nargess

Adel is a young thief. He does his jobs together with a woman named Afagh. Afagh is a good deal older than he is, and the two of them live together. The schemes they put together are bold and dangerous. One day Adel meets Nargess. He falls in love with the young woman. He wants to marry her and build a proper life. To do that he decides to leave crime behind. Afagh does not stand in the way. She even passes herself off as the mother of Adel. She assures the family of the bride that he is reliable. His criminal record, though, stands in front of him. The doors he goes to for work close one after another. He is caught between the two women as well. The film looks with a hard eye at people living outside the rules. Farimah Farjami and Atefeh Razavi appear in the hundred minute film, an Iranian production Rakhshan Banietemad finished in 1992.
