Nerrukku Ner

Raghu is an officer in a passport office and lives in Chennai with his wife Shanti. When the trouble between them grows, Shanti leaves the house. The separation sets the younger brothers of each side against each other. The stubbornness between the two young men turns in time into a quarrel of its own. Meanwhile a criminal trying to leave the country asks Raghu for a forged passport, and Raghu informs the police. The film runs domestic tension alongside a line of crime story. How pride enlarges a small matter is the real subject. Mani Ratnam produced the film and it was Suriya’s first work. Vijay and Simran also appear in Vasanth’s hundred and fifty one minute Indian film, completed in 1997.
