Aby and Sona have been friends since childhood, and for a long time what is between them does not go beyond friendship. That is how they both understand it and how everyone around them takes it, although what is between them has had another name from the start. By the time they see it, it is too late, and the decision is no longer theirs to make. The film tells youth and friendship in a light tone, yet by the end it makes the weight of the time they missed felt as well. It became one of the best loved youth films in Malayalam cinema at the end of the nineties. Kunchacko Boban and Shalini appear in Kamal’s hundred and fifty one minute Indian film, completed in 1999.
