A rich businessman and the owner of a failing pub are identical. When the businessman learns there is a plot to kill him, he finds the publican and hires him as a decoy: he will sit in the meetings, get into the car, take the bullet. The trouble is that this is a man who has never done anything right. He wrecks the meetings, dances with the wrong woman, defeats the assassins by accident, and takes the businessman's whole plan apart from the inside. Reinhard Schwabenitzky directs the German comedy; ninety-six minutes, with Dieter Hallervorden in both roles. Hallervorden was a comedian known to Germany from television through the seventies and eighties, and the Didi films were among the most widely seen domestic comedies of the period.
