Nossa Chape

The documentary is about the Chapecoense football club in Brazil. On the twenty eighth of November 2016 the plane carrying the team came down. All but three of the players were killed. The club was left with nothing. The film follows what came after. A new squad has to be built. Players arrive in the town on transfer. What is expected of them is heavy. The survivors are also trying to come back. Alan Ruschel is one of them. The goalkeeper Neto appears as well. The manager Vagner Mancini puts the side together, and the film sits in the tension between mourning and the ordinary work of a season. Jeff Zimbalist and Michael Zimbalist made the hundred and one minute documentary, a Brazilian and American production finished in 2018.
