Kasper Berntsen is a successful stand up comedian who, from the outside, has everything he could want. Then one day everything changes: he is given a diagnosis of a serious illness and his girlfriend ends the relationship. From there he has to learn both how to go on stage and how to be funny all over again, because joking is the only language he has and that language is not enough for this. The film looks for the difference between making people laugh and brushing pain aside, and it refuses to turn the illness into an occasion for a lesson. Odd-Magnus Williamson plays the lead in Petter Naess’s hundred and seven minute Norwegian film, completed in 2021.
