What Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror Is About
Haruka is sixteen and lost her mother as a small child. The only thing left of her was a hand mirror, and that disappeared years ago. One day at a shrine she sees a small fox-like creature and follows it. She finds herself in the world where everything people forget ends up: Oblivion Island. Here the toys, the books, the odd single gloves and everything else forgotten have built a city. Haruka goes looking for her mother's mirror, but the island belongs to the Baron, and the Baron has taken it. Shinsuke Sato directs; a hundred minutes. Haruka Ayase voices Haruka. In Japan it was counted among the first major features made in three-dimensional computer animation.
