What Kingdom 2: Far and Away Is About
Shin is now on the battlefield, at the bottom rank of the Qin forces marching against Wei. He forms a squad with infantrymen gathered from villages like his own and learns the rule of war there: staying alive depends less on skill than on who you stand beside. Facing him is one of Wei's most famous commanders. In the second film of the series Shinsuke Sato leaves the court intrigue behind and moves entirely to the front, building the battles with large crowds of extras. Yamazaki Kento leads. The idea is plain: heroism here is not an outcome but what the survivors say afterwards. It counts among the harshest instalments of the adaptation. Who it is for: followers of the series and viewers who like historical battle films. Who it is not for: anyone who has not seen the first film.
