What On the Run Is About
After fifteen years inside, Bruno escapes. Nothing he believes has changed: proletarian revolution, getting his comrades out, freeing the masses. But outside, nobody believes in him any more, and Jeanne, once his closest comrade, has married, had children and left that life behind. Lucas Belvaux made this as one part of a trilogy: one comedy, one thriller, one melodrama. All three take place in the same city over the same days, and whoever leads one of them appears at the edge of another.
