What Outlaw Brothers Is About
Frankie and Max are two skilled thieves who steal luxury cars in Hong Kong, and business is going well. But one car they take makes them the target first of ordinary gangsters and then of a far more dangerous group. The policewoman after them is determined to put them both away; but once she sees the strength of the gangsters she understands that working together with the thieves would be better for everyone. Frankie Chan’s ninety seven minute Hong Kong film joins fight sequences to comedy and follows the patterns of the action cinema of its day. The director himself takes one of the leads, with Max Mok and Yukari Ôshima in the cast. It was completed in 1990.
