Planetary

The documentary is about the way we look at the Earth. The camera moves between continents. The African savannah comes into view. So do the heights of the Himalayas. The crowds of Tokyo are there as well. Then the planet opens up as seen from orbit. The people who speak come from very different fields. NASA astronauts describe what they saw. Those working on the environment take their turn. Philosophers and Tibetan lamas speak too. The shared question is where we place ourselves. The film holds that every living thing is bound to every other, and that behaviour will not change until the way of seeing changes. Guy Reid and Simon Rieber directed the eighty eight minute documentary, finished in 2015.
