What Praça Paris Is About
Camila is a Portuguese therapist working at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, and one of the people she sees is Glória, who runs the lift in the university building. As the sessions go on Camila runs into a reality far harder than she is ready for: Glória was raped by her own father as a child, and her brother Jonas is a dangerous criminal now in prison. What she hears frightens her steadily more and she begins to feel threatened, while Glória comes to see her as indispensable. Directed by Lúcia Murat, who wrote it with Raphael Montes, the film takes fear itself as its subject and keeps one foot in the thriller. It was a Portuguese, Argentine and Brazilian co-production.
