Presenting Princess Shaw

Samantha Montgomery lives in New Orleans. She is a nurse working in a care home. In her free time she sings. What she sings she uploads to the internet. The name she uses is Princess Shaw. Very few people are watching. At the same time someone in Israel is listening. The man’s name is Kutiman. Kutiman makes new music by combining clips found online. He hears Samantha’s voice and builds an arrangement around it. She knows nothing about it. The documentary follows both sides separately. Then that arrangement is published. Samantha Montgomery and Ophir Kutiel appear in the eighty three minute documentary, an Israeli and American co-production Ido Haar finished in 2016.
