Digital tools gave everybody the means to make things: the camera, the studio and the distribution are all inside a phone now. The documentary asks what came of that. If more people are making work, is the art better, or does what is genuinely good get lost in the crowd? The film gives no answer; it asks the question from both sides. Moby, Robyn, Ólafur Arnalds, Lena Dunham, Bill Drummond and the critic Andrew Keen speak in David Dworsky's Swedish documentary. Keen argues that digital culture has lowered the quality; the others defend access itself. The documentary gives the two views equal weight. The film was released free on the internet and became an example of its own argument.
