In one a young man goes to Monte Carlo to gamble, in another a man who wants to be a pianist comes into conflict with his family, in a third a marriage is broken over a kite, and in the last a colonel’s wife writes a book her husband fails to notice. The four parts were directed by Arthur Crabtree, Ken Annakin, Ralph Smart and Harold French. The hundred and twenty minute British production was completed in 1948, and two more films were made in the same form after it.
