Ram Dass: Fierce Grace

Ram Dass was a symbol of the sixties. In those years he was associated with psychedelics. He had worked alongside Timothy Leary. Then his road changed. Over the years he became known in another field. He spoke about ageing, about spirituality and about reckoning with the past. He wrote books and gave talks. In 1997 he had a stroke. Part of his body no longer worked as it had. His speech was affected too. The documentary follows what came after that. He is trying to remake himself again. What he says is about illness and about acceptance. Ram Dass tells his own story in the ninety three minute documentary, an American production Mickey Lemle finished in 2001.
