Reprisal!

Frank Madden buys a ranch. His mother was of the Native people. He keeps this from those around him. He chooses to pass as white. As he arrives a trial comes to an end. Three brothers had lynched three Native men. The jury is made up entirely of white men. The brothers are acquitted. The Shipley family also uses Frank’s land. They graze their cattle on it. The tension between the two sides grows. The brother of one of the dead men kills a Shipley. The blame falls on Frank. He is arrested and put in jail. A crowd gathers in the town for a lynching. Guy Madison and Felicia Farr appear in the seventy four minute film, an American production George Sherman finished in 1956.
