Resistance Is Life

Evlin is eight years old. She had to flee Kobane. She now lives in a refugee camp. The camp is on the border between Turkey and Syria. The documentary tells it through her eyes. Kobane held out against ISIS. The siege went on a long time. Those who got out crossed the border. Evlin was one of them. Daily life goes on in the camp. Tents, queues, waiting. Evlin talks about the city she left behind. What she says comes in a child’s words. The film does not answer that with grand statements. Enver Müslim also speaks in the seventy three minute film, a Turkish production shot in Kurdish that Apo W. Bazidi finished in 2017.
