Revenge of the Electric Car

In 2006 Chris Paine made a film about how the electric car was killed. This one covers what happened five years later. It follows four men: Bob Lutz at General Motors, Carlos Ghosn at Nissan, Elon Musk at Tesla, and Greg Abbott, converting old cars to electric in his garage. All four are racing at the same time. The crash of 2008 arrives in the middle of it; General Motors goes bankrupt and Tesla comes close to going under. The film was shot inside the factories and through these men's worst days. Chris Paine directs; ninety minutes, narrated by Tim Robbins, shot between 2007 and 2011. It does not arrive anywhere in particular, because what it describes was only starting.
