What Romans Is About
Akash and Shibu are two convicts who get off a train while being moved to prison. They end up in a village on the Kerala and Tamil Nadu border and are taken for the two priests the monastery is expecting. Passing as priests, they reopen a church that has been shut for years and win the villagers over; then Eleena, a girl from the village, starts to see through them, and a cat and mouse game begins. When Father Gabriel arrives for the annual festival, the question of where the expected priests actually went takes the film somewhere else. Boban Samuel directed, with the setup drawn from Neil Jordan’s 1989 film We’re No Angels. Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon lead, with Nivetha Thomas in the cast. It opened on 17 January 2013.
