Roraima - Climbers of the Lost World

The documentary follows a climbing expedition. The goal is Mount Roraima in South America. The mountain is a flat topped tepui. Legends are told about it. The walls are sheer and long. Three German climbers set out. Stefan Glowacz, Kurt Albert and Holger Heuber had climbed together for years. The aim is to try a route nobody has climbed before. The expedition begins in February of 2010. The weather forces them to break off the attempt. The team returns home. Kurt Albert dies soon afterwards in a climbing accident. The two remaining climbers make a second expedition. They contend with the wall and with the loss of their friend. Stefan Glowacz and Holger Heuber appear in the ninety eight minute documentary. It is a German production three directors finished in 2012.
