Run Raja Run

Sujeeth's 2014 Telugu film follows Raja, whose honesty keeps getting him dumped. He meets Priya, the daughter of a police commissioner, and no sooner does the relationship begin than he falls into a criminal case. The narrative proceeds through jumps in time. The same event is shown again from different angles and the viewer receives the information in pieces; though it is the director's first film, the construction is ambitious. Sharwanand leads, with Adivi Sesh on the opposing side. The tone is light and the comic line runs through the narrative. The film did unexpectedly well and opened the way for its director. Who it's for: those who like Telugu crime comedy. Who it's not for: viewers expecting consistent logic; the film builds its plot on coincidence.
