The documentary follows the marathon runner Fiona Oakes. Oakes runs long distances. When she was fourteen the doctors gave her bad news. She was told she would not walk properly. After that she went through more than seventeen operations on her knees. Her right kneecap was removed entirely. Even so she kept running. She has run marathons on seven continents and at the north pole. The documentary follows her preparing for a new race. The race is the Marathon des Sables. The course runs two hundred and fifty kilometres through the Sahara. Oakes also keeps a sanctuary for animals. Fiona Oakes and Scott Jurek appear in the seventy four minute documentary, an American production Keegan Kuhn finished in 2018.
