Alexandra Swarens's 2025 film follows a woman travelling to Italy for her sister's wedding. During a layover in France she meets another woman and an unexpected connection forms. The film compresses the relationship into a narrow window. Each has somewhere she has to be; the narrative does not stretch the encounter and does not hold its decision to the end. Swarens directs and takes the lead, with Clementine Pinet opposite her. The budget is low, the crew small and the shooting done in real locations. The dialogue runs in two languages. Who it's for: those who like small-scale romantic drama and queer narratives. Who it's not for: viewers expecting dense plotting; the film is almost entirely two people talking.
