Shane

The documentary is about Shane Warne. Warne was an Australian cricketer. Cricket was not what he had in mind as a boy, since his interest was Australian Rules football. At nineteen he was dropped from that path. He then turned to a difficult branch of cricket. That branch is leg spin bowling. He carried the craft to a high level in a short time. One delivery in 1993 became his turning point. Fame and money followed from there, and so did trouble. There was an inquiry over betting, and after a banned substance case he was suspended for twelve months. Affairs of his ended his marriage, and after the ban he built his career back up. The film opened in January 2022 and Warne died that March at fifty two. David Alrich, Jon Carey and Jackie Munro made the ninety six minute documentary, an Australian production finished in 2022.
