Shelby American

The documentary is about the life of Carroll Shelby. He started out as a chicken farmer in Texas. Then he went into motor racing. He began beating the known drivers of the day. In 1959 he won the twenty four hours of Le Mans. He was remembered for racing in his farm overalls. There was something wrong with his heart. It forced him out of driving. He founded Shelby American afterwards. He gathered a small crew around him to build a sports car of his own. The Shelby Cobra came out of that. He then worked with Ford on the GT40, which beat Ferrari at Le Mans more than once, and he remains the only man to have won Le Mans both as a driver and as a manufacturer. Adam Carolla and Nate Adams made the hundred and nineteen minute documentary, an American production finished in 2019.
