What Sita Ramam Is About
Afreen, a Pakistani student in London, burns an Indian's car out of anger and goes home to raise the damages. The only inheritance her grandfather left her turns out to be a task: to deliver a letter written twenty years earlier by Ram to Sita. The further she follows it, the more another story opens up, set in Kashmir in the sixties. Hanu Raghavapudi builds a classical love story on top of a war and a border, and writes his Pakistani character as a person rather than an enemy. Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur carry the feeling of it.
