What Someone Special Is About

A baseball player is told he has three months to live. His career had already collapsed, and he goes into a bar to drink about it. The woman working the bar turns out to be someone who has known him from a distance for years, and loved him from that distance. Between a man who thinks he is dying and a woman already in love with him, something odd and light begins. Jang Jin knows every shape a romantic comedy can take and bends each one slightly. It opens on a death sentence and refuses to get heavy; the jokes are hidden inside completely flat sentences. Jung Jae-young and Lee Na-young carry the tone between them. It remains one of the best loved Korean romantic comedies.
