What Soul Boy Is About
Abila is fourteen and lives in an informal settlement in Nairobi. The girl he cares for, Shiku, belongs to another people, and for that reason he is not really meant to see her. One night, drinking, his father gambles away his own soul. This is told as something belonging to the belief world of the neighbourhood. Abila sets out to win back what his father lost.
