A group of people three days into a methamphetamine binge chase small connected errands around Los Angeles. Nobody sleeps and nobody has a plan. The film builds its form from the effect of the drug: cuts lasting seconds, colours breaking down, animation dropped in. Rather than telling a story the narrative imitates a state, which makes it deliberately exhausting to watch. Jonas Akerlund directed, having come from music videos. Jason Schwartzman, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy and John Leguizamo are in the cast. A real warning: drug use, overdose and explicit sexual material are shown constantly and graphically. It means to disturb, and it succeeds.
