Bob Cringely What Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview Is About
In 1995 Steve Jobs gave Robert X. Cringely a seventy minute interview for the PBS documentary Triumph of the Nerds, of which roughly ten minutes were used. The master tape was then lost in transit between London and the United States, and for seventeen years it was assumed no other copy existed. When Jobs died in 2011, the documentary's director Paul Sen found a VHS copy in his own garage. This film is that recording in full. Jobs is out of Apple and running NeXT here, and unusually blunt about Microsoft, about design, and about how companies rot.
