The documentary was made by Mark Moskowitz. He bought a novel back in 1972. The book had been praised at the time. But it sat unread for years. Years later he opens it. Reading it moves him deeply. He looks for another book by the author. He finds nothing at all. The writer seems to have disappeared. The book has gone out of print as well. Moskowitz wonders why. He sets out and starts finding people. He talks with critics and with publishers. He finds the people who printed the book. He meets readers as well. He reaches people who knew the author. The search turns into something about the bond literature makes. Mark Moskowitz directed the one hundred twenty seven minute documentary. It is an American production finished in 2002.
