Stranger on the Prowl

A man is on the run from the law. He has no money and trusts nobody. Where he is is a port city in Italy. On the street he comes across a boy. The boy has no family and lives by small thefts. At first the man is amused by it. Then he wants to pull the boy out of that life. The two of them start going about together. A strange bond forms between them. The police are after the man, though. A woman informs on him. What she is after is the reward. So a chase begins for two people with nobody. Paul Muni and Joan Lorring appear in the ninety minute film, an Italian production Joseph Losey finished in 1952.
