The documentary follows a workshop that makes suits outside the ready made sizes meant to fit everyone. Among the customers are people who have long known that the sizes in the shops were not made for them. The film is less interested in cloth and stitching than in how dressing builds a person. The side of gender that is lived through clothing stands at the centre. The measuring and the fittings are where the most private moments of the account fall. The film does not turn this into a display of transformation; it listens to what people say themselves. That everyone has the right to go out into the world with confidence is what the film argues, and it does not hide it. Jason Benjamin’s seventy eight minute American documentary was completed in 2016.
