Summits of My Life - A Fine Line

The documentary takes place on the snow covered summits of the Alps. At its centre is a small group of mountain athletes. The best known name among them is Kilian Jornet. Their aim is not a list of records. What they are after is closer to their own fulfilment. The camera climbs alongside them. Skiing back down is part of the story too. The footage was shot at high altitude. The mountain has as much risk in it as beauty. The film does not hide that. The telling is weighted by a loss. Stéphane Brosse of the team died in 2012 during an attempt on a traverse. The film is completed in his absence. This is the first part of Kilian Jornet’s multi film project. Kilian Jornet talks through his own climbs in the fifty two minute documentary, a French and Spanish co-production Sébastien Montaz-Rosset finished in 2012.
