Tähdet kertovat, komisario Palmu

A man's body is found on the hill of Tähtitorninmäki in Helsinki. Inspector Palmu takes the case. But things tangle once the story hits the papers as a scandal; the noise the press makes ties the hands of the police. Palmu is his usual self: contrary, impatient and sharp-eyed. Virta and Kokki are with him, and the three needle each other without stopping. Matti Kassila's film is the third link in the much-loved Palmu series of Finnish cinema. The first two were adapted from novels by Mika Waltari; since there was no third novel, Kassila asked Waltari to write this one directly for the screen. Joel Rinne plays Palmu. The humour is folded into the detective work, and the series is still shown again and again in Finland.
