Tears of Gaza

The documentary is set in Gaza. Its subject is the assault that began at the end of 2008. The bombardment lasted twenty two days. Most of the footage was shot by camera operators in Gaza. The filming was done both during the attack and after it. The film follows three children. They are called Yahya, Rasmia and Amira. All three lost people close to them. Life does not get easier after the ceasefire. Many families are living in tents. Others live in houses left without walls. Money, food, water and electricity are all short. Women and children stand at the centre of the account. The film looks at what the war means in daily life. Even so the children describe a future. Vibeke Løkkeberg directed the eighty one minute documentary. The Norwegian and Palestinian coproduction was finished in 2010.
