Inna lives with her father and small brother in a provincial town, and her life changes when a new girl named Masha arrives at her school and the two become friends. There is a serial killer in the town who murders teenage girls, and Masha becomes one of his victims. Inna goes to the church for the funeral service, where she meets Ilya, the priest’s son, whose sister was killed the same way, and the two of them are left alone with the grief and with the silence of the town around them. The hundred and ten minute Russian film opened on 29 November 2012 and won the best debut prize at Kinotavr the same year. Natalya Nazarova, who also wrote it, directed together with Aleksandr Kasatkin, and Mariya Smolnikova plays the lead.
