The Demise of ETA

The documentary tells of the ending of ETA. The organisation carried out armed actions for more than fifty years. They took place in Spain and in the French Basque Country. There were robberies, kidnappings and killings. In that time close to a thousand people died. The subject of the film is the process of ending it. The process stretches over ten years. The talks are conducted in secret. The meetings are held in places like Geneva and Oslo. The documentary speaks with people who were in those rooms. Among them are Jesús Eguiguren and Arnaldo Otegi. Names from the other side appear as well. Justin Webster directed the hundred and seven minute documentary. The Spanish production was finished in 2017.
