The Endless

Two brothers go back to Camp Arcadia, the group they escaped years earlier. Aaron remembers it fondly; Justin thought it was a UFO death cult. When they arrive they find that nobody has aged. Then time starts repeating itself. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directed it together and star in it, with Benson writing. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on 21 April 2017 and got a wider release on 6 April 2018. It shares a universe with their earlier films. It connects to Resolution from 2012 and Spring from 2014, some characters overlap, and it can be read as a partial sequel to Resolution. Ninety-two percent of 132 Rotten Tomatoes reviews are positive, with a 7.6 average. Metacritic sits at 80 from 18 reviews. The domestic gross was 957,694 dollars. Who it is for: viewers who like low-budget science fiction and horror built on an idea. Who it is not for: anyone wanting a clear explanation. The film never says what the loops are, and that is a deliberate choice.
