What The Fake Is About
A village is going to be flooded for a dam. The state will pay the villagers compensation. Just then a church arrives: a pastor and the man beside him gather the villagers, promise them heaven, and collect the compensation money. Nobody is suspicious. The one man who is suspicious is Min-chul: a gambler, a drunk, a man who beats his wife and daughter. In other words, the last person in the village anyone would believe. He is the one telling the truth, nobody listens to him, and being right saves no one. Yeon Sang-ho directs the Korean animation; a hundred and one minutes. Yeon later made Train to Busan. This is animation made for adults, and by the end nobody is saved: not the believers, not the unbelievers, and not the man who knew.
