The Grandson

Rudi, a quiet and polite office worker, has a special bond with his grandfather. When the old man falls victim to a heartless telephone scam, both his spirit and his health give way. Rudi has no intention of letting that go unanswered. But to get near the scammers he has to stop being himself and turn into someone else. In Kristóf Deák's film Rudi has an unexpected crew beside him: old people. The telling runs suspense and dark comedy together. Its subject is the machinery of fraud that targets the elderly. The film does not present taking justice into your own hands as an easy solution either. Gergő Blahó plays Rudi and Tamás Jordán plays the grandfather.
