Ben Nabors What The Happy Film Is About
The New York designer Stefan Sagmeister lives in the city of his dreams. He works for the likes of the Rolling Stones and Jay-Z. Business is good, but he thinks it is not enough. So he takes on a hard project: trying to change his own personality. To work out what causes happiness he works with a psychologist and tries three approaches in turn. These are meditation, therapy and drugs. The film follows those three attempts and what happens between them. What he meets along the way is joy, heartbreak, love and death. The work does not offer the experiment as a story of success. The ninety five minute American documentary by Stefan Sagmeister, Hillman Curtis and Ben Nabors was completed in 2017.
