What The Inheritance Is About

Christoffer lives in Stockholm with his wife Maria and runs a restaurant. He is happy. Then his father in Denmark takes his own life. His mother calls him back: he has to take over the family steelworks or the company goes under. He does not want to and he goes. The works takes him in. He decides who is laid off, who is protected, who is lied to. Within a year he loses the restaurant, Maria and himself. He becomes the man his mother wanted. Per Fly directs the Danish film; a hundred and sixteen minutes, with Ulrich Thomsen as Christoffer and Ghita Nørby as the mother. It is the second film of Fly's trilogy; the three look at three different classes in Denmark. This one looks at the top, and it is the coldest of them.
