The Miracles of the Namiya General Store

2012. After a burglary, Atsuya and two friends hide in an abandoned general store. During the night a letter drops through the mail slot. It describes a trouble, and it was written thirty-two years ago. The store's old owner, Namiya, spent years answering people who wrote to him with their worries, and for one night the mailbox opens onto 1980. The three start writing replies, and the replies actually land in the past. Then they realise something: every one of these letters has touched their own lives. Ryuichi Hiroki directs, adapting Keigo Higashino's novel, with Ryosuke Yamada as Atsuya. Two hours and nine minutes. The fantastical premise is not the point; the point is that the right answer given to one person can change someone else's life years later.
