What The Reconstruction Is About
Eduardo, who works at an oil plant in Río Grande, lives in a solitude that runs like clockwork and speaks to almost nobody. His old friend Mario calls him to Ushuaia for a few days; the man is gravely ill and there is business to be settled. When Eduardo realises he has to stay, he ends up taking on the shop, Mario’s wife and their two teenage daughters as well. In that house the things he has not touched for years come back in front of him. Juan Taratuto’s ninety three minute Argentine film is one of the director’s first works outside comedy; Diego Peretti and Alfredo Casero appear. It was completed in 2013.
